Spenser for Hire TV Series Locations |
The Spenser for Hire TV series ran from 1985 to 1988 and was filmed in Boston Massachusetts. You get to see what Boston actually looked like during this time. This is in comparison with the later made-for-TV films, which were often filmed in Canada.
This photo here is from Season Three, when Spenser had his home and office in the top floor of a brownstone building on a corner. During the episode "Thanksgiving" he tells a friend that this office is in Charlestown, which is just north of Boston proper. Here is a photo of the location as shown in season 3.
I found a matching house in Charlestown, on the corner of Main Street and Monument Ave -
So he had a pretty nice neighborhood for his home!
