Lost In Paradise
2015 / Hallmark / Jesse Stone

This is the seventh Jesse Stone miniseries and it's a full ten years from the first one. It's also five years since episode six. So both of those are intriguing, that the series has been going on so long and that there was such a big gap after six right in a row.
Jesse's local town is getting quiet. Too quiet. Which, thank God, seems reasonable after the wild chaos that's been going on there in the past years!! So he's helping out with a Boston case. There are people lying left and right. Lots of fun scenery. And Jesse is driving a car with a failed registration. Someone in the set design wasn't paying close attention, apparently, because it wasn't at all part of the plot.

But, of course, Jesse saves the day. The teen girl with the alcoholic mom, Jesse gets them help. The prostitute who was slain, Jesse brings her justice. And he sort-of releases an old girlfriend (only a bit of stalking) and sort-of releases his old-old-girlfriend. And gets a new dog.
Lisa Says: Good God Almighty. Yes, they finally made Paradise less of a Hell-Incarnate location - but yet again Jesse is lurking around young teenage girls! I was mentioning that in the last episode as getting extreme and yet here we are again. He just plunks down next to her and starts getting all friendly with her. If it was just occasional it'd be one thing. But it seems to be his focus in life. Seek out young teen girl. Get all friendly with her. Seek out another one. But, heck, I love these shows. I love the scenery. I love the pacing. I adore the dialogue. They are just stunning. |
