Blue Texture Origami Window Mobile
Origami window mobiles bring beauty to any room. They can hang in a window to catch the light. They can hang against a wall to bring color and delight to the room.
This is one of my favorite window crane mobiles. The customer here wanted to upgrade from standard patterened paper to the more high-end textured indigo-blue paper, called Aizome. I then hand-cut the Aizome paper down into the mini size.
I matched the Aizome cranes with dark blue wooden beads.
You can see that each origami mini crane has its own unique pattern. Some have scallops, while other have dots or wavy lines.
The resulting mobile is simply gorgeous. The blues are deep, rich, and shimmer in the light. The heavier paper weight gives the cranes more ability to catch the breeze and spin. The texture of the cranes gives them an added dimension.
