Here are a few things you'll want to know about this YZA350E pack of Aitoh yuzen chiyogami paper.

First, Aitoh is based in Japan. These papers are made in Japan. You can find the paper in most origami stores around the world.

This origami paper is the traditional 15cm x 15cm which works out to 5 7/8 inch by 5 7/8 inch square. Some people mistakenly list this as 6" x 6". It is close to six inches BUT IT IS NOT SIX INCHES. It is just slightly short of that. Be aware in your planning.

Yuzen: Yuzen patterns are the style found on kimono - elegant floral and intricate designs. These origami papers feature the yuzen style designs.

Chiyogami - Brightly patterned paper. In the olden days these patterns were made with wood block printing, but modern times usually involve a printer.

So both "Yuzen" and "Chiyogami" refer to the types of patterns shown on these pieces of origami paper.

In addition. this particular pack - YZA350E - is Shinwazome. It doesn't say it on the packaging but it really should. These raised pattern papers are challenging to fold, but create gorgeous, elegant designs with a textured feel to them. The paper is thicker than usual and the raised printing gives it an embossed feel.

This YZA350E contains just eight pieces of paper, one per pattern. The golds in here shine - they are metallic in nature. The textures are thick and you can feel the shapes with your fingers. This is high quality origami paper.
