Hematite has been used since the days of the Egyptians. This shiny, metallic stone was treasured by soldiers, who felt the stone brought then great strength and honor. In fact the name comes from the Greek word 'haima', meaning blood.

Hematite is associated with both Aries and Aquarius.
Hematite is a type of iron oxide. It is found in the US, Australia, Mexico and Brazil.
