Quebec Ice Hotel Photos and Notes
The Absolut Bar

The Absolut Bar was the smaller of the 2 bars, and was only open until 8pm. Note that while tours ended at 4, many locals would come by to have drinks here at the bars. They were kept out of the sleeping room corridors by velvet ropes :) Not exactly a security-tight situation, but there were a lot of employees around, and everyone who entered had to get a ticket so it's not like random people were wandering through.

The entry way to the Absolut bar was shaped like a bottle!

There were little sculptures near the door.

There were 3 "nooks" carved into the wall, where people could sit and be cozy.

They were carved so that the light from the outside world came in through the table area.

This was our favorite one, with little 'wings' around it to make it more cozy! When these women left, we took over.

The glasses were all formed out of ice! They were cubes with shot glass shapes drilled out of them. This bar of course served Absolut vodka with various juices.

This smaller bar connected in to the larger bar, which was open until midnight. Well actually it is apparently open until people stop paying the bartender :)
