Photos of Cage Types

Here are two cages that I've had for my collection of keets. First, the metal cage. This was very roomy, but it was tall and thin. Parakeets don't really fly up and down like helicopters. They fly sideways. So most of the time the keets just stayed at the top area and didn't use the lower area at all.

This next cage was longer side to side but less high. The keets liked this MUCH better. The plastic areas around the seeds also helped to keep seed mess to a minimum!
