Disembarkation from the Pride of America

We were woken up before 8am as the announcements began about how the disembarkation would go. Our bags that we left outside the door had been taken, so we just had to get our carry-ons organized. Bob went up to get us some last breakfast.

The order of announcements were:
carry-off - before 7:50am
VIP - 7:56
Pink / wite - 8:00am

We headed down about 8:30 I think, and there was literally NO line in the main atrium area. You just swiped your card - which you got to keep - and walked off the ship. Then it was a simple escalator ride down to the baggage area, which was again very easy to walk to your area, grab your bags and head out! Talk about SUPER easy and SUPER fast :)

For $5 a bag you could leave your bags here and get them any time during the day before 7pm (I think it was 7pm). There were NUMEROUS shuttle busses vying for your attention to take you pretty much anywhere. VIP shuttles was offering $5 a person, much cheaper than the other choices. But first, I sat under the shaded area while Bob went out through the security check to walk the 2 blocks to Enterprise's local office. It turns out - perhaps because Enterprise locations are independently owned - that to pick up our car here and drop it off the 5 miles away at the airport would cost double. It would be $30 for the car - and a $30 charge for the separate drop off.

So in any case, we got on the VIP shuttle, and the driver was quite friendly as he drove us around to the various stops, then dropped us off right at the Enterprise actual location near the airport.

It then took us about an hour to get our car and out of Enterprise. Apparently they were now out of EVERYTHING except a convertible, a jeep or a SUV. It took them a while to find us the SUV. With our baggage and such we couldn't take something small or soft-top. So eventually we were in our vehicle! I took digital photos of every single ding and scratch - just in case - and we were off. It was about 10am.
