Quebec Ice Hotel Photos and Notes
The Suite Sleeping Rooms

The suites were GORGEOUS and each one was done by a different group of people. Each was its own theme based on what that group decided to do with their X sized room. It was really impressive, the variety of ideas that they came up with.

Here is a view into a sleeping corridor, from the outer courtyard area.

and here is Jenn standing in one of the room's doorways.

Now, on to the suites!

First, one of my favorites. The Zen room. This had a gorgeous carving on the back wall, and a "nook" against the side wall that was light and translucent, where two people could sit and talk. The bed itself had gorgeous blankets and pillows. Ice blocks had green leaves embedded in them. Even the entry way had a small privacy shield with leaves embedded into it.

Next, another favorite of mine, Blue. The room was actually pretty simple - a blue-colored arch over the bed, and a waterfall at the foot of the bed. The room was ringed with blue blocks at the base level. But this was an 'end' room and the arch had blue colored paper over clear blocks to give a nice blue glow to the room. Strangely, this was the only empty suite the night we were there! You can't choose your suites - they assign them - so I wonder why they left this one empty.

Third, the room we ended up getting - Fige! I loved it, it was full of flowers, plants, it was gorgeous. You'll see more photos of this one later when I talk about our night.

The next room had red berries embedded in the walls, which were melting and gave it a strange, icky look. Not my favorite :)

After that, a room that was very 'modern art' with different levels and glowing lights. Nicely abstract, but just not my style :)

The next room was cool because it had flames going up behind the bed, and also had 2 curled up bears sleeping on either side of you!
