Bellevue Washington Trip 2004 -
Tuesday through Friday
Tuesday we flew late out of Boston and landed in Seattle. It was cheapest for us to just hire a car to drive us out to Bellevue to the hotel, so we did so. It was cool to see a guy standing there with our name on a sign! The car was quite comfy and the drive out to the hotel relaxing and non-stressful. I highly recommend it.
The hotel - the Bellevue Hyatt I believe - was right in the center of downtown Bellevue. Bellevue is a suburb of Seattle with a few skyscrapers of its own. We were kitty-corner with one of the largest malls in the entire region, with high end restaurants and shops. Right now we settled in, and Bob ran next door to the Wendy's for some dinner. They have in-room wireless for a charge, and we hooked right up.

Wednesday
Bob was off to work so I went down to Equus, the restaurant here for breakfast. It was quite good! Then I went upstairs and began working. I had a ton of mail to get through, and by the time 3pm rolled around I was hungry again. Down to Chadfield's the sports bar for a lunch of fish and chips. When Bob got "home" we decided to go out to Flo, which was the best rated Japanese restaurant in the area and only a few blocks away. It was GREAT!

Thursday
OK I wanted to get out of the room. I took my laptop downstairs with me to breakfast, where you get free wireless! It was fantastic - great food, relaxing internet browsing. Then I hung out in the lobby (more free internet) for a while and read up on mail. Eventually I went out to the mall just to get out of the hotel, and got myself a fuzzy purple sweater. I had lunch again at Chadfield's, and worked some more. Bob came by with his boss and we all wanted to go to PF Chang's, but it was booked solid. We ate at T'jas instead which was quite good. Strangely they really didn't have much of anything vegetarian for the boss and when he asked, they weren't exactly helpful. We ended up with a solution though - they made him an omelet!
Friday
Bob had wanted to go to the bass shop this afternoon so I made sure to be around the hotel all day. I had breakfast with laptop in the hotel at Equus, then worked in the lobby. Then I went right next door to Cucina Cucina for some DELICIOUS lunch out on the patio in the sun. Then I went back to the hotel. Apparently he had been trying to call me just up until the moment I stepped foot into the hotel and then stopped. Hmmmm. In any case we didn't get out to the bass shop tonight, but did go back to Flo for more sushi since it was so great.
