Summer Haiku
Little sparrow flieshigh above the meadow lane
calling to his mate
Seedlings growing tall
stretching towards the lighted pane
worshipping the sun
Dewdrops gleaming bright
cling to silky spider web
as the morning dawns
June 1989
Falling, dried up leaf,
moist, green sprout in dark-brown earth,
aspects of a whole.
Memories look backwards,
aspirations peer ahead,
thus we control time.
