Infant Haiku
Quietly sleeping, little fingers grip my hand
safe inside my arms
Eyes bright with wonder
fingers reach for colored ball
spinning out of reach
Like a sandy sphinx
Torey sits and guards the child
sleeping in the sun
At the end of day
smiling child gives tired mom
feeling of content
