Biggest Loser SlimCoach

When the Biggest Loser first began using body-based caloric tracking devices, they had gone with the BodyBugg brand. Starting in 2011, the Biggest Loser show began using the SlimCoach device as their tracker. The SlimCoach is the Biggest Loser branded version of the SmartCoach device.

I had always wanted a BodyBugg but balked at their required yearly fee to keep it working. I figured if the Biggest Loser stopped using the BodyBugg device, the BodyBugg company might fold, and then my BodyBugg device would become useless.

So sure enough, in 2011 the Biggest Loser dropped BodyBugg and decided to go with SlimCoach instead. I had the same worry again, that the Biggest Loser would just keep doing this to jockey for the highest payments. However, I was also now hooked on the idea of trying one of these things out.

So with SlimCoach being a fresh release for them, I bought one immediately. I figured this way the website would at least stay around for a year. Hopefully they signed a year contract with each other :)

We received our SlimCoach unit from Amazon on February 2, 2012. The Biggest Loser SlimCoach came out in January 2012 so they were fairly brand new at this point. We happened to choose the white one, but they also have a black one at this time.
