Origami Book Review

This book has a rather simple title. Origami. Within are all the classic shapes - from cranes to fish, hats to balloons. The author is Hideaki Sakata.

The book uses bright, clear photos to illustrate each design, even in the table of contents. The items are shown from start to finish in photos using brightly colored papers, making it easy to compare what you are doing to the photo image.

Most shapes are quite basic and easy for adults and kids. They also make great projects. You can make a bouquet of iris, a little church and organ, a flotilla of boats, or your own pinwheels.

The large format of the book makes it easy to hold open and use.

Well recommended as a starting book for an origami fan.
