Origami Inside Out Book Review

This is a pretty unique origami book - it involves the 'underside' of the paper quite heavily. The contrast forms tigers, cows, and even a full chess board! It's authored by John Montroll.

I love the designs in here, even though there aren't that many. There's a ghost, snowman and martian. There are a group of shapes, then a penguin, canada goose and blue jay. There's also the tiger, cow, raccoon, elephant, skunk and anteater. To top it off, there's a complete chess set including board!

Everything is done in black and white with black and white drawings, but the shapes are so fascinating that it's OK in this case. Some of the folding is rather intricate, so this isn't for beginners. But it's great for making a shape that someone goes, "Wow, I've never seen that!" and marvel at the dark and white contrasts.

Highly recommended for an experienced folder's library.
