Guiseppe's Grille Restaurant Northborough MA

There are two things that stand out about Guiseppe's Grill from the times we've been there. First, the food is fairly good. We go as a group and have tried all sorts of items on the menu. From the pasta to the eggplant to the chicken and ravioli, it is tasty. The desserts are good as well, and are made fresh.

Second, it has got to be some of the SLOWEST service we have ever seen.

We have sat there for eons waiting and waiting for someone to come take our order. Then eventually things will start to come out. We've sat all dinner long with empty wine glasses, never seeing them refilled. Water glasses stay empty for the full evening. One time I ordered a glass of red wine to go with my meal. Much later the waitress was taking away my plate to wrap up the rest of my meal for take-out and I asked her about the wine. "Oh, it's coming," she promised me. I pointed out that the point had been to drink it WITH the meal - which was now over - so I didn't want it any more.

The restaurant itself is nice enough, sort of a mid-scale Italian theme that is not quite kid-on-the-floor casual but also not dress-to-the-nines elegant. You can feel fairly comfortable there in jeans or in business wear.

If you have many hours to spend and are willing to relax through the very slow service - and don't get too thirsty while waiting - then you will do fine here. But if you have any sort of a time table or appreciate having things to drink with your food, I'd probably look elsewhere.

Dress: Anything from dressed up to jeans, tshirts and baseball caps
Staff: VERY SLOW
