Louisa Musgrove
Persuasion
In the 2008 version of Persuasion Louisa and sister Henrietta are pretty much interchangeable. However, in the book and in the 1971 miniseries, they are quite distinct. While Henrietta is engaged to another and has only a momentary draw to Captain Wentworth, Louisa is completely unattached, is full of energy, is frank and direct and is very much interested in Wentworth. She is presented as a very determined girl - a counterpoint to Anne's perpetual vacillating. She is the one who pushes her sister to go see her intended husband, and gets them back together again. Wentworth praises her for her determination and steadfastness.
On the other hand, it is shown that Louisa's drive borders on pig-headed stubbornness, when it is her desire to do whatever she wants that ends her up with a concussion. Calmed down by this, she falls for the much more quiet Captain Benwick - the man who she said before should never remarry because of his past love.
Here's the 2008 pair.

Here's the 1995 pair with Wentworth.

For some reason I always find these bright red cloaks outrageously odd.

I'm very curious if these houses at Bath are historically accurate. This is where Wentworth's friends live.

Here is the 1971 version of Louisa, who is a good combination of energetic fun and sturdy determination. They did a good job with her here. You also get to see Mary (on the couch), Anne and Charles in this image, all in Mary's home.
