Trigun 17 - Rem Saverem
This episode opens up with spaceships looking for a planet "like home". Rem asks if there are flowers there. She tells the young Vash that these ships are all filled with the human race, and that the many 'alseep' are waiting to colonize new planets. Another guy shows up - Knives. His voice is done by the guy who does Tai from Digimon and Tetsuo from Akira.
They all sit in a recreation area and talk about a new land of peace of freedom and harmony. In the briefing room they describe how Earth was damaged by man - and they had to go elsewhere. Knives worried that humans perhaps shouldn't be out polluting other planets. Rem thinks that Vash and Knives are 'angels' sent by God. The kids are super smart and have grown very quickly. Vash is upset because the others think they're strange. Knives reassures him even though one of the crew members was very mean to him.
Rem cuts Vash's hair in the straight up style and says it reminds her of her lost love. Vash says he loves Rem and won't leave her alone. Knives runs off to cut his own hair. Steve, the cruel crew member gets drunk and harasses them before leaving.
In the rec area, they see a spider chasing a butterfly. Vash wants to save the butterfly but Knives kills the spider. Knives points out that the spider will starve to death. So it's better to kill the spider. Vash gets upset and says he wants to save them both.
Steve is locked away, accused of raping one of the other crew members. Vash and Rem talk about it - and soon after you see the woman who was raped talking to another guy, Rowan. Rowan tells her he killed Steve and wants to marry her. She disagrees and Rowan kills her. Next Rem and the two boys come into the room, and Rowan tries to kill Rem. The captain sucks Rowan out into space to save Rem. Knives kills the captain, sets the ships to crash into the planet. He then tells Rem and Vash to escape from the ship, as the ship is going to crash.
Rem calls out to her lost love, Alex, to give her strength. He sends the boys out in the escape pod. Knives laughs as they leave, saying that it was good thing they destroyed the humans, otherwise they'd just keep harming other planets.
Now 107 years later JulyCity. Vash is rememering back to those events.
