Trigun 16 - Fifth Moon
Legato and the Gung Ho Guns are hanging out in a ballroom. Meanwhile, Millie and Meryl are worried about Vash, that it's been 2 weeks since he left. The townspeople claim that Legato is part of Vash's gang and that Vash is a nasty guy, and Meryl sticks up for Vash. She decides that she and Millie will track down Vash.
Vash is in a saloon and is worried about fighting with Legato. A puppet-person shows up and delivers a message to Vash to meet him at Augusta. Augusta is being attacked by Vash who say he'll do the same thing that he did to July. He shoots in the air and down falls the cat! Vash is trying to drive the townspeople out to keep them safe.
Suddenly Vash feels a blood drop and sees Monev the Gale and the Cyclops stuck up to a wall. It's I.G. Mine who is the fifth Gung Ho member. He's got spikes in a giant shell and plans on killing I.G. Next comes in The 9th Gung Ho gun of Jiginzan. His name is Rai-dei the blade. He's a samurai warrior.
I.G. and Rai-dei have a brief fight and Rai-dei kills I.G. On goes Vash's glasses as he prepares to fight Rai-dei. Vash refuses to kill Rai-dei which infuriates the samurai. It turns out Rai-dei's sword also shoots bullets. Vash is under the gun and he hears Legato saying he should "use it". His gun starts glowing with a bright light.
The samurai tries to run but it's hopeless. Legato tells his henchman that this is what happened in the town of July 23 years ago. The light blast goes up to the moon. Meryl, Millie and Wolfwood watch. Wolfwood kills the samurai and is upset that Vash destroyed the town.
Townsfolk in another town talk about the destruction. There's a bottle of cat-beer! They show scenes of the various people who have known and liked Vash over the series. Meryl is crying at her window. Millie brings in a letter and it tells the 2 girls they have to return to the office - and that Vash won't be looked into any more. The end.
