Trigun 12 - Diablo
A dark assassin - Monev the Gale is hired to kill Vash, while he chats with a bootmaker. Later, he, Millie and Meryl lounge under a blue sky. Vash remembers his dark haired girl. They play dodge ball with the cat but a young girl won't play with them and runs off. Vash spots a dark man and has bad memories. The guy is "Legato Bluesummers" - and they talk psychicly. Legato is a messenger, to warn Vash that his life will end today. It turns out Legato cut out the bootmaker's tongue and fed it to the girl.
The Sherrif locks up Vash, thinking Vash did the deed. Legato wanders off after saying bye to Vash. Millie and Meryl show up to talk with him but he's not in the mood.
In comes the huge assassin, shooting the place up. He has come to "Send Vash to Hell, just as was promised." The assassin was locked up for 20 years training. Millie shoots Vash loose just in time and they run. Vash tries to save everybody in town while he runs from the assassin. The assassin takes out the entire town and Vash is horrified at the destruction.
Vash shoots the assassin 3 times in the faceplate and walks up with blue glowing eyes. "Those eyes - it's like looking in the eyes of the Diablo!" says the assassin. Meryl and Millie show up but Vash says for them to stay away. Vash goes to the bank and only has 2 shots left. He rigs the safe to explode and knocks the assassin back with a secret gun in his arm.
Now the assassin pleads for his life, not wanting to die. Switch to Rem talking to Vash floating in the sky. She says life has unlimited possibilities. Back to the street confrontation, Vash releases the assassin and cries, saying if he killed the assassin, Rem really would die.
