Kirbyoto's view of Trigun

First of all, I loved Trigun. Let me just say that. It is one of the best Anime series I have EVER seen. The music, the animation, the humor, the action...all make a solid Anime.

Now that that's out of the way, let me give...MORE reasons why I like it. It just breaks so many Anime cliches and stereotypes. Vash, the cool character, the guy with the moves and the big gun, turns out to be...a dork. Yes, I said it. Vash the Stampede is a dork. But that makes him better, and it improves the moments when he is tough. The first episode shows him perfectly: In the beginning, he manages to escape about 10 automatic weapons blasting apart the saloon he's in, and he stands up and points his gun at his opponents. Later, it shows him running from them, and why: After he stood up, and pointed his big fancy gun, he pulls the trigger...and it says (I'm quoting here) "click". Then a few more times, as Vash grows desperate: "click, click, click". Then the true Vash comes out and he runs away. Can you imagine that in ANY other Anime? I can't!

But he also waxes poetic. He understands how people work, and despite his dorkiness is an incredible gunfighter. He's a character with so many contradictions that he just HAS to work. To ANYBODY who's reading this that likes a laugh and at the same time some real action: watch Trigun. You'll appreciate it.
