Return of the King - Sauron
The animated feature Return of the King from 1979 created its own take on Tolkeinīs creatures and world. Here is an image of Sauron's eye.
The Lord of the Rings animated series didn't show Sauron's eye at all, so this is the only pre-Jackson rendition of what Sauron's "flaming eye" was supposed to look like.
