Lord of the Rings - Mines of Moria
The animated feature Lord of the Rings from 1978 created its own take on Tolkein's creatures and world. Here are images of the Mines of Moria.
First, the entryway. JRR Tolkein of course drew a picture of the door so everybody's door should look exactly the same!
Now the infamous Balrog. Many say it should NOT have wings according to the book. But others say there should be wings. Jackson played it safe and gave him *smoke* wings. This one looks like a winged lion.
and the oh-so-famous-line, "Thou Shall Not Pass!"
