Final Fantasy Unlimited Episode 24 - Chaos
This episode begins mid-battle, as Kaze faces off against Makenshi. The world around them is falling apart. Lisa says this fight is just like 12 years ago. Yu falls into a chasm, and Robo-Choco tries to help save the group.
Makenshi threatens to put Kaze to sleep - and Kaze says the gun isn't moving. Moogle comes over and realizes the gun is still broken. M says Kaze is helping Chaos grow. Makenshi attacks, and a wave of water overtakes the sub, sending it back into the ocean. On the sub, Chobi does not have Yu - only the feather that Yu always wore. The group worries about Yu.
Makenshi walks into the sub carrying Kaze. Makenshi explains that their very life is helping out Chaos. Back at the palace, the Earl is full, and Pist realizes that Makenshi is causing trouble.
On the sub, Makenshi explains how the crew's being in Wonderland is making things worse. Chaos feeds off the sadness. The group realizes that the Earl is chaos and that the group's troubles help to please the Earl. Even the firing of the magun helps the Earl. Knave says that when they conquer fear, they will be strong - but Makenshi says they can't win against the Earl.
Crux carries Yu back to the palace. The mom and dad bring in a snack for the earl. They call Yu a stranger. Lou and Lisa sit watch over Kaze. Lou says the soil is the crystalized lives of those who have died. Kaze remembers Aura saying to use "her soil" and apparently turning into the soil containers.
Pist is thrilled that his puzzle has so much energy. Makenshi shows up and attacks. He slices Pist in half but Pist simply reforms. Pist says he has all the Omega crystals now. The Earl says that Omega is his toy. Clear is in with the other items. The parents explain that Omega was a living creature but that they can control him now.
Makenshi "mistifies" Pist. Suddenly the puzzle and the crystals all vanish. Makenshi is responsible. Back on the sub, they are suddenly face to face with the Earl's palace. The palace attacks the sub, but Makenshi protects them. He tells them to run, but the Earl comes down in person. Kaze comes out to watch. The Earl turns into a giant demon. "I hate you guys" says the Earl. He sucks away their strength.
Yu watches in helpless horror as a final assault is launched on the sub.
