Final Fantasy Unlimited Episode 20 - Yu
We begin in the kitchen of the sub, with the ship members discussing Clear. Cid flies in riding the flying glove. The ship crashes into something, and Cid says the puzzle has moved.
The sub is now in the sky, falling towards an airship with eyes. They land right on the cube shield. Miles and Cid chat about the situation and are both shy, remembering their previous kiss. The troops all breathe into their pipes to shoot the turret - but the bullet is blown up by the enemy.
Chobi starts running arond, saying he smells dead peppers. He flies right out the window, looking for them. They have to dodge the turret fire, and Chobi drops Yu in a giant hall. Crux, Oscha's spy, is there watching. Yu is followed by ... the earl. The earl says that Yu has been rude. The two talk, with earl laughing at Yu for having a bird friend. "Birds are food", says Earl. Earl goes on to talk about the strong trampling the weak, and Yu says this isn't a good system. "Why have you come to Wonderland," wonders the Earl. When he hears about the lost family, he brings Yu in to see the parents.
Cut back to the ship, where Cid is planning his assault. Back to the parents, who are looking at a rock experiment, turning rocks into crystals. Earl says they are helping his research. He wants to control all of Wonderland, plus everything else. He claims that his parents said it would be fun to do the research. Yu thinks back to fun family memories. He's angry at being neglected. Finally his parents see him - but they turn away.
Earl finally says who he is - the Earl / Tyrant. Yu is surprised - and Chobi flies down to pick him up. Back on the ship, Cid is powering things up. He blows up the various turrets. Makenshi is watching - but the Magun is silent. Kaze goes to use his normal gun, but Lisa tells him to wait until Yu is safe. Kaze shoots anyway, and Makenshi flies off. Now the Magun activates and the two prepare to fight.
Chobi and Yu fly onto the ship during the fight - but he's crying. The ship sails through a purple spiral. All of the evil ones praise Makenshi, but he stays aloof. Cid cries about the damage to Jane, and talks about how Makenshi almost seemed to have saved them. "He is my mortal enemy," replies Kaze.
Yu refuses to tell his sister what he saw in the palace.
