Final Fantasy Unlimited Episode 18 - Madoushi
Oshca floats in space, holding up a straw doll and speaking to a red cloak and sword much like Makenshi's. The doll glides to the cloak and sword, forming them into a person. The person asks if he's been ressurected, and Oscha answers in the affirmative, calling him "Lord Madoushi".
The kids and Lisa are on top of Jane, which is flying in the clouds. They jump into the soft, pillow-like clouds. Knave and Cid are talking; the ship apparently can't move. Cid expects a problem or situation. The Comodeen are all playing in the clouds (Fungo's eating them), and the kids are having cloud-ball fights. Kaze's off staring into the sky. On the Earl's airship, Makenshi's doing the same.
Pist asks Earl Tyrant what the next problem should be; Tyrant asks him to ask Oscha. Makenshi is startled, and the clouds start rumbling in the Ocean Puzzle. Obelisks, and then an entire ruined city, rise from the clouds. Madoushi stands before them, ready for battle. Fog emanates from him, covering the Comodeen and paralyzing them. Kaze prepares the Magun; Makenshi watches the battle from Chaos' room in interest. Cid and the others haven't seen the Magun in action yet; they also watch. Kaze summons Shiva to attack Madoushi, and Madoushi slices it away, saying "I have no business with you." Madoushi traps Kaze in an energy cube. Crux and Makenshi both appear, the latter startling both Madoushi and Kaze.
Madoushi says he's been waiting for Makenshi, to conclude his fight. Madoushi is Makenshi's elder brother. Flashback to the "great battle that sealed the fate of their world". Meteors rain from the sky, and Madoushi bashes them away. Madoushi says he fought so fiercely because he was overshadowed by Makenshi. Madoushi wanted to lead his people to victory and prove his superiority to Makenshi, but he died. Now their world is destroyed by Chaos, and nothing holds him back. Lisa realizes this means Kaze's world is also destroyed by Chaos. Madoushi wishes to fight intensely, but Makenshi is troubled. Madoushi attacks Makenshi, who blocks and tries to reason with Madoushi, telling him he's being used. Madoushi calls him an idiot and attacks with his Flare Sword. Madoushi uses "Pure Red Requiem, which creates a giant red Sword Dragon, much like Makenshi's. Makenshi counters with his Pure White Requiem. The two dragons fight, which feeds Chaos immensely. All the evil lords are pleased.
Makenshi's dragon is blasted away, seeming to leave Madoushi the victor. But then his sword cracks. Madoushi asks "why", and then looks at Kaze. Makenshi says that Madoushi's lost the power that made him Madoushi, and then they fight with their swords. Madoushi's sword is destroyed, and he falls, crying and hoping for his brother's success. The barrier around Kaze disappears, and the paralyzing fog is removed. Lisa remembers Gun Dragon and Sword Dragon and begs Makenshi and Kaze not to fight. Pist says if any more energy is released, the Ocean Puzzle will be destroyed. Oscha decides it's not good for Makenshi to fight Kaze, and the ocean puzzle is advanced forward sans Makenshi.
