Final Fantasy Unlimited Episode 17 - Frog
The sub is back in motion again, moving through the ocean puzzle. They soon enter the Toad Cube, complete with a ribbiting creature. A sea of mud threatens to suck them down. Cid is then turned into a frog. Down sinks the sub.
The group wonders where Cid has gone, while Cid ribbits around wildly trying to attract their attention. Fungo picks him up - but then tries to eat him. Cid escapes into a vent - and ends up near the shower room. He attempts to go look at Lisa naked. Instead, it's Knave. He panicks and scares off Cid. Now the chocobo comes along and tries to stomp on him.
Yu grabs Cid next and wants to keep him as a pet. Ai wants to get rid of the frog and drops him into the toilet. "I just set him free" she says, as if toilet waste goes directly out to the outer world. Well apparently in this anime world, it does. Cid-Frog swims off to look for an answer to the cube puzzle.
Somehow Cid ends up in the next world, almost eaten by a chocobo in a meadow. Chocobaba and her sis are having a picnic there when the chocobo brings over the frog. The sisters discuss a legend where a prince was turned into a frog. They both kiss Cid, but nothing happens. Still, Cid thinks this legend holds the answer of his change.
Cid floats back into his own cube in Knave's coffee cup. Cid now hops off in search of a maiden. He tries to kiss Lisa, but instead Yu finds him again. When Ai shows up, Cid runs away and finds Kaze. Cid tries valiantly to explain to Kaze who he is, but Kaze does not get it. Off Cid trudges sadly. He hears Lisa tell the others that the frog could be dangerous. Soon everyone is looking for it.
Cid falls sadly to the floor, but is picked up by Miles. She holds him tenderly, and the sub plummets further. Miles carefully nurses Cid back to health ... or actually, she is preparing him in a sandwich. Cid manages to kiss her - and POOF he is a human again. The toad appears and says it's too late.
Cid doesn't believe this and runs to the main control area. It turns out the others have manages to break the engines. He whips out a jet-pack and with multiple arms begins to quickly fix everything. Suddenly the engines are wroking again and they plow to a purple spiral, escaping the mud. They end up in a peaceful beach area. They others ask where he's been, but Cid only runs crying to "Jane", his ship. Kaze watches, saying, "a frog", and Miles blushes as she remembers the kiss.
