Final Fantasy Unlimited Episode 3 - Fruit - The Town of Sweet Scent



In episode 3 of Final Fantasy Unlimited, the trio of adventurers land in a new world - a land of Fruit. All of the inhabitants seem to be solid black ghost-like people with shapeless brown cloaks over them. They all despair and have no hope. The world is built of fruit. The chocobo happily begins eating a railing. Ai wants to eat some too, but Yu warns her to be careful.

One of the cloak-creatures runs off with Ai's backpack and she wildly chases it, losing the other 2. She finds worlds made of strawberries and watermelon. She goes into a bar to try to find the thief but nobody will help her there. Everybody says it's hopeless.

Now Ai hears the sound of the ocean and finds Fabula, the narrator, in her oyster. She sees a pearl with a "poshepocket" in it and is given it. Apparently the poshepocket can grant whatever Ai wishes for. Why doesn't Ai just wish to find her parents and go home???

Back in the palace, the Tyrant is very upset with Fungus' defeat. Oscha, a masked guy, and Herba, a female plant-sprite, both talk to Tyrant. Herba laughs at how Fungus was defeated and offers to go in.

She flies over to where Ai, Yu and Lisa now are. Kaze shows up too. Herba sends down pollen to cause Yu and Lisa to laugh uncontrollably. Ai wishes to help out and is given a watermelon seed that disperses the pollen. Then Kaze mixes together forest green, maiden white and ice blue to create Shiva, the classic ice maiden from the game. Shiva freezes Herba and defeats her.

The chocobo cries out that the train is leaving, and the group sprints to catch the train, but they miss it.
