The Animatrix - Matriculated
It's a sci-fi Akira like future with a superhero-clad woman and her pet monkey-in-a-jar outrunning two robots. She does some sneaky high-wire balancing and gets into the pipeworks of a nearby complex. The robots follow her and call for reinforcements.
The robots come up to a locked door and the monkey, with a key lying on the ground. Using the key, they open the door - and find a robot behind it that attacks them. After the 2 robots are slain, a group of people clap at the capture.
The scientists say that they're trying to convince the robots to join them by choice. There's a fun discussion about the nature of reality, virtual reality and dreams. while the superhero-girl wanders around in her underwear. She and the others - including the robot and monkey - all plug in to a virtual reality where they're sexy and pretty much naked.
The robot turns into a sexy female girl and chases the 'humans' through an every changing virtual world full of stained glass and crystal trees. She is caught up in a black sludge but escapes - then runs into one of the girls. They run off together - but sentinels show up and the program has to stop.
The super-woman unplugs the robot as the rest fight the sentinels. He indeed helps her and plugs her back in, whil the rest of her friends lay dead around her (includingd the poor monkey). The robot plugs itself back in, rejoining her in Matrix-land. The girl is upset and runs - and the robot is confused.
