Making a Bird Bath Dripper

Birds love the sound of water. It's a sure way to lure birds into your yard. With a plastic gallon milk jug and a few basic supplies, you can create a bird bath dripper!

Wash out the gallon milk jug thoroughly and let it dry. Poke a very small hole in the bottom of the jug with a needle. You want it large enough that water will actually drip through it, but small enough that the drips will come slowly. Your aim is probably around 10 drips each minute.

Fill the jug with water, and put the lid back on. Hang the dripper above your bird bath, so the water falling from the dripper lands in the bird bath. You want it high enough so the birds don't think it's about to land on their heads, but near enough so the drops actually land in the water most of the time.
