Italy / Western Mediterranean Cruise
In 2013 I finally earned my Bachelor's Degree in Leadership from Northeastern University. It had been a long journey - I first began questing for a bachelor's degree back in 1986, at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Life wends and winds and I was enormously content with every step of my Leadership degree. I loved the instructors, the classes, and my fellow classmates. They were primarily managers and business owners, because of the "College of Professional Studies" group I was in, so they became my board of directors in many ways. In that sense, I was quite sad when the degree was complete. I miss the process immensely.
At the same time that I finished up my Bachelor's program, my sister, Jenn, earned her MBA. My mother and my stepfather, Len, were at this time planning to move down to Florida from New England, where the three of us had always been a short drive from each other. So with all of this going on, my mom made a wonderful offer. She'd take us all on a trip to Italy and the Western Mediterranean so we could spend two full weeks together. It would be a final, fun time to enjoy each other before she headed south permanently. Jenn and I immediately said yes!
