Kaytee Tropical Fruit Seed

This is clearly labelled as a treat, not a base seed diet. So keep that in mind! It is mostly cnary grass seed, white millet, red millet, rape seed. There are other items mixed in - dried papaya, coconut, dried pineapple, etc. The question is of course whether your keet is going to eat those dried up things, or just eat the seeds around them because the dried fruits don't look fresh. You need to keep in mind that the way a keet's eyes work, they can actually "see" the freshness of a food. A dried food isn't going to look fresh, so they won't think it's tasty.

Some keets will eat those dried bits and realize they are a nice new texture and food type, and enjoy them a lot. Other keets will just eat the seeds up and leave the rest behind. So it might be worth experimenting with your keet to see which they do. Keets are all different and have their own personalities of course. That all being said, it would be far better for your keet to eat *real* fresh fruits, because not only will they look fresh to the keet, but also they have water in them. Keets should get most of their water naturally in their diet. Feeding them dehydrated fruits doesn't help with that.

So sure, as an occasional treat, this might be OK. My keets think it's fine but not excellent. Be sure to remember it's a treat, and that fresh fruits and veggies are always critical to a keet diet.
