Hartz Original Recipe Parakeet Food
It really upsets me that they say this 2.5 pound bag of *SEED* is a complete nutritional parakeet food. Parakeets didn't live only on dried seed in the wild! They lived on nuts, berries, insects, greens, and much more. They ate all sorts of things.Not only is this not a complete FOOD, all it is is 3 kinds of seed. You get Whilte Millet, Hulled Oats, and Canary Grass Seed. That is as bland and boring as you can possibly imagine for a parakeet. There aren't even a variety of seeds in here. They are all pretty much exactly the same size, shape, color, texture, you name it.
All they do then is "triple air" clean it to make sure it's fresh. I'm not sure how blasting a seed with air makes sure that it is fresh.
If you're going to feed your keet a base diet of seeds, at least make sure it's a nice variety of seed - and never, ever think of that as "all" your keet needs. Your keet needs fresh veggies, fresh fruits, some bits of protein like egg and tuna, and yes, some seed and grain. I wouldn't recommend this as something to consider the grain portion of your keet's food, though.
