Location - Lady in Red

While other of my novels involve extensive travel and exploration of landscapes, Lady in Red is about not moving at all. The heroine, Jessame, has been trapped within the walls of her family homestead for six long years. Even when she does get out of them, it is only the few miles to the center of her village. She likes being near home. She wants to tend to her father.

All of the growth and change occurs within her. She does not need to see distant lands in order to find peace and contentment. She only needs to soothe the chaos within her own soul.

Lady in Red takes place in a quiet area in the southeast part of England - in the area of Sparkford. She is comforted by the quiet landscapes.
