Content RatingThis page has spoilers in it! It describes the content of Badge of Honor for those who want to know more about these areas. In general all of my stories are gently written - they do not contain explicit details of encounters or violence.
The heroine, Catherine, is a sword-fighter. The reason she became a sword-fighter is that, when a young teenager, she was kidnapped and abused, and only barely got free. It is never explicitly stated what happened to her during that time period, but it is implied that it was rough. She now keeps all men at an arm's length.
She eventually falls for the hero, Jack. He is gentle and patient. At last, when it is clear they are pledging themselves to each other, she gives in to him. The scenes are gently described in a "fade to black" manner.
There are several fights in the novel, but none are graphic in nature. They are described enough that the reader knows what is going on, without excessive detail.
Alcohol was a normal part of medieval life; the alcohol made beverages safe to drink. There is drinking mentioned, but not to excess.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about the specifics of this novel.
