Cezar Magi New Orleans

Cezar Magi is a lovely gift shop located at 234 Chartres Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Completely untouched by Hurricane Katrina, they were able to re-open almost immediately. As Shannon explained, "You board up and then you get out." There was no water damage, no issues - the only problem now is that there aren't enough tourists returning to visit in the shop. The quality items are there - fine works of art, gorgeous jewelry - but visitors have a mistaken impression that there is nothing to enjoy.

I adored the gorgeous lights and hand made jewelry here, and bought myself a pair of earrings. These are definitely pieces you won't find at your normal store back home. "We need more tourists who are willing to buy," continued Shannon as we chatted. Once the tourists come in with their money, it will mean the artists have income to buy food with, and the food vendors will have a market to sell to, and everyone will benefit.
