Millennium Hotel Room Photos
The Millennium Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska has quite lovely rooms. Here are photos and descriptions of the two rooms I stayed in.

There's a desk with paper and pencil in each room, as well as a TV. The prints on the wall are all numbered originals, of Alaskan subject material.

The beds were very comfortable and the blankets quite warm. They have very thick curtains on the windows, so if you're there in the summer and can't deal with sleeping while the sun is shining (i.e. pretty much any time of day or night) you'll do relatively well.

This is facing back towards the door. There's a fridge under the counter, and a coffee maker with coffee and tea on top. The closet has actual removable hangers. You can see the second sink area straight ahead, and to the right of it is a small table in the nook immediately facing the door.

The bathroom itself was relatively small - but the sink is outside of the tub area. There's also a second sink in the main room area. The lotions, shampoos and such were very nice quality. They did forget to leave me a shampoo one day, so it might be good to bring your own trial-size as backup. The tub drains VERY slowly, so the water is up around your ankles while you shower.

Here are two photos of the single-bed room.

You might think that, being located right on a giant float plane lake, you'd have a great view OF the lake. Remember, the hotel is only 4 stories tall. These two rooms I stayed in were on the 3rd floor, and even so you couldn't see over the trees. There is a street and a row of houses between you and the lake. The other side of the hotel faced the street. The street-facing side had odd numbered rooms. So if you really want a view of the lake, ask for a fourth floor room with an even numbered room and you might have a chance. Just remember that there's no internet connection on the fourth floor.
