Millennium Hotel Bar Photos
The Millennium Hotel is built on the spot of many previous hotels with a long history. Their bar has a flight theme and pays tribute to those who came before.

This photo was taken during the evening, in the spring, but it is of the outdoor patio and the lake beyond. In the summertime you can sit out on the patio and watch the planes fly in and out all day long. In the winter, it's a more quiet, peaceful view.

Here's a photo of the interior of the bar. It is dark wood, with a main bar on the left side (when you enter) and then a series of tables in a room with giant windows on the right. There are wooden planes hanging overhead, and the walls are lined with photos of Alaskan pilots and their planes.

Here's a little nook that is lower than the rest of the bar area, with a fireplace and a few chairs. The area is themed with gambling - there's an old wheel to one side, a few bingo hourglass turners as well as a display over the mantle of historic chips and boards. We sat down here drinking and talking one evening.
Service really depended on who was on call when you were in there. Sometimes it was extremely slow. At other times it was quite prompt and caring. I found the room to be extremely smoky at times, while at other times the air was reasonably good. It all depended on exactly when you went.
The bar menu is standard light fare - sandwiches, a few appetizers, and a collection of wines, beer and mixed drinks.
Below is a random collection of photos from the lower bar area - including one of famous fly fisherwoman Pudge along with Beer editor Carolyn!
