Anchorage Alaska Airport
The Anchorage Alaska Airport is the main way that most visitors and residents get in and out of the main area of Alaska. Only a few passenger flights come in and out of this airport, but quite a lot of freight moves through.

You can see the tower from many nearby hotels, and while the float plane lake is buzzing with business, the main airport is relatively quiet. This is great for air travellers in the sense that the lines to get checked in and to get through security are REALLY short compared with other airports.

Also, the views from the airport are simply gorgeous. You can see the entire mountain range from many seats within the airport. They have stuffed bears and other animals on display throughout the airport.

On the downside, since it's a relatively quiet airport for passengers, there aren't a ton of restaurants. They do have a few so that you don't starve, but don't expect the gigantic plethora of choices that you might find at other airports.

They do have the obligatory book stores and gift shops for last minute gift shopping!
The walks are also relatively short, which is great when you're flying in and need to get to baggage claim and out to the curb. It's not too long between where you get into the airport, where you grab your bags and where you get out to the airport shuttle, taxi, or whatever waits to take you to your destination.
