Sunday - Explore Martha's Vineyard, Fly to Nantucket

It was before noon when we got to the Black Dog so they were still serving breakfast. That was fine with us! I got scrambled eggs with sausage, and Kris got an omelet. The tavern is a relatively small building with a row of windows facing the ocean. It had a rustic wood floor, wood chairs, and parts of ships (including name boards) on the walls. The 2 masted black ship we could see is apparently owned by the owner of the Black Dog.

It was great to sit there, relaxing, watching the boats come in and out. Some were HUGE.

When we left, there was a HUGE line waiting to get in, so it's wise to get there early if you want to have lunch there! There were several Black Dog Shops around this area so we went in for souveniers. We'd been told on the tour yesterday that the black dog tshirt is the second most popular in the world, only behind the Hard Rock Cafe shirts.

We walked down the Vineyard Haven streets. Here's a sign done by the father of our taxi driver -

Here's Bob's Pizza -

Look how lovely their bank is!

There was just one main street here, full of shops mostly. Not nearly as nice as Oak Bluffs. It was now about 2:30 so we went down to the ferry landing and found the same taxi driver who had brought us out here. We had him take us back to the Pequot to get our bags, and then out to the airport. It was time to fly to Nantucket!
