Tue - Roslynn Chapel, Scotland
Da Vinci Code Trip - London, Paris, Scotland

Tuesday was the final leg of our journey - heading up to Scotland to see Roslynn Chapel, long involved in Grail mystery stories. I walked the 20 minutes over to the train station, meeting up with Peter there. We rode a nice, short journey to the Luton airport again, and got our tickets at the EasyJet desk (no line!) for Scotland. Interestingly, when we got to the security area, they said my ticket had a problem - my name wasn't on both halves of the ticket stub. Odd. We went back to the EasyJet desk. While the lady was re-doing my ticket, I noticed she was reading a Dan Brown book. We told her that we were going to Roslynn and she was all excited about it. Dan Brownites are everywhere!

Back through security, and over to the gate we headed. In no time at all we were up in the air, on the short flight to Edinburgh (pronounced Edin-borough). I found it interesting that the accent of the captain was so strong that I could barely understand what he was saying. It was cloudy during the flight, though I did get to look down at the city when we were landing. It was a mix of ancient buildings and modern ones.

We landed and got our car, and headed out.

The trip was really a quick one - maybe 12 miles in all. The first half was on a two-lane each way highway, but soon we were off that and onto smaller roads. We pulled into Roslynn's parking lot (seemingly quite new) at just before 1pm. We had seen a Grail Restaurant in the tiny town center right near here and wanted to check on tour times before we had lunch.

There was an orange B&B building by the gift shop where you enter.

As it turns out, it being winter they weren't doing tours - but a group had arranged for a 1pm tour and hadn't shown up yet. If we wanted to, we could join them! Neato.
