Sat Jul 17 - Rae and More Sonoma Wineries

I woke up at 8, then 9, then finally at 9:30 I got the sleeping Bob awake, as he wanted to get out relatively early. We called Rae, who runs the body art site at bellaonline.com, and checked out.

OK, finally the stress was over. All that was left was relaxation on our last day on the west coast. We were now familiar with all the triple-lefts required and after a few spirals we got to her place. It's a small but gorgeous, very purple apartment by the park. Quite nice! We chatted the entire way out to Sonoma winery region about all sorts of topics.

First we went to Arrowood which is our favorite white winery, and of course also has awesome reds. Bert and Ernie, the rescued Grand Canyon mules, appaeared to be missing! Also, there was no viognier on the menu! Yikes!!

We learned that Ernie had passed away but that now Bert had a Rosie and perhaps was even happier. We also learned that there was hardly ANY viognier left, only a tiny few bottles. We promptly claimed 3 each of the estate and sara lee and after a great tasting we bought over a case of wine. Bob also got a cool Arrowood jacket that he immediately put on.
