Lavender Ginger Bath Salt Recipe
My very first attempt at making my own bath salts was with my two favorite fragrances, lavender and ginger. I also had sea salt in the house already, and food coloring. Here are my supplies. I have a half cup measuring cup, a bowl, and a spoon for mixing too.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup coarse sea salt
4 drops ginger essential oil
4 drops lavender essential oil
green food coloring
First, I measured the half cup of salt into the bowl. Then I carefully dropped the two oils in various spots of the salt. I mixed it up. Then I added in a few drops of green food coloring. I mixed again, and now I could tell by the movement of the green when the whole thing was thoroughly mixed.
The mixture smelled absolutely wonderful. So I put most of it into a container for a friend - it fit just about perfectly, leaving me about a tablespoon left over for me to test out. I promptly went up and ran a bath. It was delightful! The aroma was just right - relaxing and tantalizing at the same time.
I definitely enjoyed this blend a lot. And it's pretty too!

In terms of aroma meanings, lavender is about relaxation and ginger is about nurturing and caring. So this is an ideal "nurture yourself and relax" bath salt.
