Women Quotations and Quotes

Being female, I feel a certain fondness for quotes that are by women or about women (and most especially quotes that are by women and about women!)

Certainly being female in modern days is much better than being a "near slave" in some past times. Still, there are still cultures even today where women are treated like chattel. We all have to do our best to help each other learn and grow and thrive!

It really distresses me to look at the types of quotes people often distribute that are "about women". Either they are written by men and they focus on women being sex toys, or they are written by men and are very snarky about "women are far superior to men". Surely we can collect a wonderful set of quotes that are uplifting and encouraging!

-- Helen Keller

Perseverance is failing nineteen times and succeeding the twentieth.
-- Julie Andrews

-- Sarah Jessica Parker

A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult.
-- Melinda Gates

-- Constance Baker Motley

You are all you've got." —Janis Joplin "Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness.
