Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo

Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo I'm always suspicious of two-in-one products. I realize that people want to save time, but it brings to mind the Saturday Night Live skit about "It's a floor wax! It's a dessert topping! It's both!" A shampoo is supposed to help get dirts and oils OFF your hair. A conditioner is supposed to soak INTO your hair. It seems logical to me that the steps have to be separate one after the other.

That being said, I'm all for giving products a chance and learning something new. So I gave this Aussie Aussome Volume 2 in 1 shampoo a try. It is supposed to combine shampoo and conditioner to help your hair be fluffy, detangled, soft.

It is a nice texture - creamy without being overly thick - and a nice light pink pearly color. There is very little aroma to it. It is a little thick for a thorough shampoo of my long hair, but I'm able to get the job done. It washes out cleanly.

However, it does very little in terms of conditioning. I have a number of other conditioners that do a much better job of leaving my hair tangle-free.

I really like that the top is flat so you can sit the container upside down to get out the last 10% of the shampoo. I do not like to waste product. That being said, the snap on the lid is VERY tight and it's hard to pry it open once you've closed it - especially with soapy, wet fingers.

A nice idea, but I'll stick with my separate shampoo and conditioner. It might take an extra 30 seconds in the shower to do it in two steps, but I think the end result really speaks for itself.
