Donating Hair to Charity

Every 2-3 years I cut my hair off and donate it to charity. I've done Locks of Love several times. I've also done Pantene's charity organization several times. This year I was thinking of actually selling the hair, and donating the proceeds to charity. I think I might get more net benefit that way for the charity.
