Hair Coloring Tips and Info
Hair is in essence a dead strand of protein. Think of it as yarn strings hanging from your head. It's really easy to dye yarn - and to color hair. You can use a temporary dye that washes away after a while, or a more permanent dye that sticks well to your hair.As those who work with dyes know, most dyes are dangerous to humans. They are not things you want to ingest, inhale, or get into your eyes. That makes working with a hair dye rather tricky, since the dye is naturally going to end up near your eyes, nose and mouth.
Hair dyes are of course safe if used properly. Millions of women dye their hair every year, it's as normal as choosing a new hat or pair of earrings. If you don't like a temporary dye color, just wash it back out again. If you don't like a permanent dye color, just grow it out again or over-dye it. Compared to many things we do to our bodies - tattoos, pierced ears, etc. - hair dye is pretty short term!
