Electricity and Telephone in Germany

So you're heading to German or other northwestern European countries. How do you need to prepare for electricity or telephone systems?

The telephone systems in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France are all pretty simple. Magellan.com sells adaptors for under $10 each that handle the various plug types. Follow the links below to get what you need.

For electrical power, German, France, Blegium, and the Netherlands all use 230/50 power supply. You can get an adaptor for that below. Luxembourg uses 220/50 which also works with the same adaptor. England uses a 220/50 which is a separate style from Luxembourg.

So if you're heading to Germany and neighboring northwest countries, be sure to have both the telephone and the electrical system adaptors on hand. That will make sure that, no matter where your wanderings take you, you can plug in all of your appliances, laptops and phones!
