Pigs - Dream Symbols
Pigs are normally thought of as farm animals raised for food - but they're also slang for a fat person or a police officer. What does it mean when you dream of pigs?If you're dreaming of a happy pig in its farm pen, this could mean that you really want your life to become more simple, more safe. For many, the pig in a pen in the symbol of quiet luxury. The pig rolls in the mud, is fed as much as it wants, and lives in safety and peace. Foxes don't chase pigs, pigs aren't milked or harassed. They are just fed and cared for.
Pigs have also come to mean an overweight person. Think of how you reacted to the pig in your dream. Was it really overweight, to the point you felt disgusted by it? Was it slobbering food all over the place, wasting and spilling it? If so it sounds like you feel that you or someone close to you is overweight and not caring for himself or herself properly.
Pigs have also come to mean police officers in common slang, and in Pink Floyd songs. Is the pig more like a wild boar, threatening you or menacing you? This might be a threat of authority, that you feel like someone has control over you and is trying to push you around. If so, find a way to explain your position and make a stand for what you believe in.
