Caramel Walnut Brownies

1- 14 Ounce Bag of Carmels
2/3 CUP Evaporated Milk, Divided
1 CARAMEL Flavored Cake Mix
1 CUP Butter, Melted
2 TSPS. Vanilla
3/4 TSP. Ground Cinnamon
1 1/2 CUPS Walnuts or Pecans

PREHEAT Oven to 350 Degrees
UNWRAP Caramels and place in Medium Saucepan
ADD 1/3 Cup Evaporated Milk
COOK Over Low Heat Until Caramels Melt, Stirring Often
REMOVE From Heat, and Set Aside
COMBINE Remaining 1/3 Cup Milk, Dry Cake Mix, Butter, Vanilla and Cinnamon
STIR Until Blended
SPREAD Half the Dough into a Lightly Greased 9 Inch Square Pan, Chill Remaining Dough
BAKE at 350 Degress for 10 Minutes
COOL in Pan on a Wire Rack for 5 Minutes
POUR Caramel Mixture over Brownie Layer in Pan
SPRINKLE with Walnuts or Pecans
SPOON Remaining Half of Dough into 9 Equal portion on Wax Paper
PAT Each portion into a 3 Inch Circle
PLACE Circles over Walnuts or Pecans in Pan, (They can overlap slightly)
BAKE at 350 Degrees for 25 Minutes
COOL Completely in Pan on a Wire Rack
COVER and Chill Thoroughly before Cutting

SUBSTITUTE Devil's Food Cake Mix for the Caramel Flavored Cake Mix and Omit the Cinnamon. Bake for 30 Minutes Instead of 25 Minutes.
